Standard Operating Instructions
Material Loading & Chamber Adjustments
-
Accessing the Chamber: Pull the Captive Cap straight off the stainless steel tip assembly.
-
Adjusting Volume: To reduce the bowl capacity by 50%, remove the CCD (screen) and push it forward into the secondary localized seating notch inside the chamber walls.
-
Loading Herbs: Pack ground dry flower loosely into the tip chamber. Push the Captive Cap securely back onto the tip prior to applying heat.
Thermal Activation (The Heating Cycle)
-
Standard Heating Profile: Hold the device at a 45-degree angle. Apply the blue flame of a butane torch directly to the side of the metal cap while continuously rotating the device to ensure uniform thermal distribution.
-
The “Plus” Single-Cycle Method: Unlike prior models, the 2023 M Plus allows for a complete extraction in a single heat cycle. To achieve this, apply the torch flame directly to the finless base of the tip (targeting the external dimples below the cap) rather than the cap itself. Do not rotate the device during this specific method.
-
The Activation Alert: Stop applying heat immediately upon hearing the mechanical “CLICK” sound. Inhalation can now proceed through the 10mm tapered mouthpiece.
The Cooling Cycle & Reheating
-
The Deactivation Alert: The tip remains at operational extraction temperatures for roughly 20 to 30 seconds. Do not reapply flame to the device until you hear the secondary cool-down “CLICK”.
-
Safety Protocol: Reheating the device before the cool-down click occurs will cause immediate internal combustion of the material and may cause structural damage to the bi-metallic discs inside the cap.
Maintenance & Cleaning
-
Material Extraction: Once the cool-down click has sounded, remove the cap. The structural extension tang on the cap serves as an integrated scraping tool to clear spent material from the chamber.
-
Washing Protocol: Fully disassemble the components (Cap, Tip, Condenser Tube, and Stem). Clean the stainless steel pathways by soaking them in Isopropyl Alcohol (90% or higher). Note: Do not soak the Captive Cap in alcohol for extended periods; wipe clean instead. Rinse all parts thoroughly with warm water and allow to dry completely before reassembly.
